Because it’s fashion week darlings!
The haut fashion hangers Marie Christophe created for Pierre Louis Mascia are the stars of his beautiful boutique in Milano and they are also so coveted in mine!
Marie Christophe has really topped herself this time — she made this special Chinese lantern with beaded birdies for a house in California.
It’s simply breathtaking!!!
One of my favorite ways to cozy up my couch for fall is to add texture and layer the couch with lots of scrumptious, gorgeous velvet. pillows from Adam & Viktoria…just light the fire, sink in and kick back in pure luxurious comfort.
You won’t want to get up until spring arrives!!
Marie Christophe’s wirework mannequins have always been an inspiration to me, as you can see in my new collection of floral fashion dress forms.
She made these for Musee de la Mode, Paris in 1998 — can it really have been that long ago?
The peacock strutted for Chanel; the giraffe loped for Issey Miyake; the swan swanned for Jean-Paul Gaultier; the hare hopped for Yohji Yamamoto; the ostrich sashayed for Christian Lacroix; and the rooster crowed only for Comme des Garcon. Magnifique!
My Floral Fashions …My creative process starts with flowers.
Love grows best in little houses…
As soon as I saw the half-acre empty lot, where donkeys, alpacas and horses were living, I knew that it would be my lavender field.
In September 2019, I set about the planting, with the idea to turn the charming A-frame barn in front of it, into my lovely little flower shed where I dry all my lavender and flowers from my garden.
My flower shed is the heart of the garden, where I dream up all the ways to bring its magic out into the world and share this pleasure with all of you.
One of my favorite photos- I’m holding a bouquet I just made.
Delightful dots: Adam & Viktoria give Morse code a design makeover that’s made to spark witty conversation.
In the dining room, the sparkling light of Marie Christophe’s wirework and crystal chandeliers make the season magic — and spark the dinner conversation.
So very chic! So very French!
From crystal chandeliers to wonky dinnerware and serving pieces, pillows and textiles as well as bespoke items made from my lavender field and gardens, my Shop at Jo’s Farms is a curated collection of custom treasures.
During my travels through France and Europe, I picked or commissioned these one-of-a-kind items for my interior-design styling projects.
My shop is a destination for discovery, a place to unearth one -of-a-kind, interesting items that turn the ordinary into the extraordinary..
