I probably dress like my house—or perhaps my house looks a little like me.

Drawing on a career shaped by Fifth Avenue, Paris and Provence, I create layered spaces where flowers, textiles and handcrafted objects are never an afterthought but the poetic heart of a home. My world weaves artistry, travel and nature through every room every garden and every bloom.
I create a kind of quiet magic:layering flowers, textiles and objects from nature into spaces that feel both poetic and lived-in. My home and styling practice are rooted at my lavender flower farm at Jo’s Farms where interiors, gardens and floral creations exist in a constant, beautiful conversation. Flowers are never an afterthought, they are essential.
My early career began in the worlds of fashion, editorial, and visual merchandising, including Vogue, Architectural Digest, Henri Bendel, Bergdorf Goodman, and Colette in Paris, as well as work with legendary designer Massimo Vignelli. At Henri Bendel’s celebrated “Street of Shops,” I learned the power of atmosphere—how texture, story, color, and detail can transform a space into an experience.
Travel has always shaped the way I see. From the Mediterranean roots of my Italian family to years spent in Paris and Provence, I developed a deep appreciation for French savoir-faire, the romance of timeworn objects, and the effortless dialogue between antique and modern. That appreciation has led me to represent exceptional European artists and sculptors whose hand-dyed and hand-embroidered textiles, cushions, sculpture, and lighting bring an unmistakable sense of artistry, history, and soul into a room. I am drawn to objects that feel collected rather than purchased—expressive, tactile, and beautifully imperfect.
In 1997, I founded the Lisa Fontanarosa Collection, bringing my love of distinctive European-inspired objects, artful interiors, and floral design to New Mexico. Today, my work is rooted at Jo’s Farms, my lavender and flower farm, where interiors, gardens, dried-flower sculptures, and seasonal floral creations live in continual conversation with nature.
For me, design is more than aesthetics—it is the poetry of place. My work reflects French restraint and romance, Italian warmth, New York energy, and the expansive light and quiet beauty of New Mexico. I create rooms that invite you to linger—spaces that feel deeply personal, layered over time, and touched by a little quiet magic.
