My story begins in France and with a life-long passion to share the beauty of the French savior faire via hand-crafted objets d’art and beauty and, of course, flowers.

I founded the Lisa Fontanarosa Collection, a source for unusually beautiful objects, lighting, sculpture and accents for the home in 1997. A love of the handcrafted is part of my  DNA. I grew up traveling to Europe with my parents, which inspired my love of travel, design, food and handcrafted objects from Europe.

Adding lighting, sculpture and textiles made by hand shows the soul of a space; it shows who lives there.  Make your space your own.

Inject your personality into your space with the magnificent, dazzling, wondrous creations of Marie Christophe!!!

Pleased to share our latest project.. just installed in Italy!!

C’est Sublime!!

Inspired by the drawings of Thierry Hermès, the founder of the haute-fashion house that bears his name, Marie Christophe created this lantern for the Hermès family as an homage to his legacy. The colorful ceramic beads are a counterpoint to the angularity of the lantern’s geometric shape.

Marie Christophe  designed these  beautiful little lanterns, Milles et une Nuit (A Thousand and One Nights), for Jean-Louis Deniot. He ordered a dozen to accent an outdoor corridor. I’m so in love with this because it’s so Marie and so Jean-Louis – she decorated it with extra-large ceramics in his signature honey palette of gold, black, white and transparent.

I repeatedly come back to these beautifully crafted pieces for their color palettes and one-of-a-kind hand made quality.  The ethos of my business Ince 1997 has been working directly with makers who conceive and produce their unique products with hand crated methods of fabrication.

And there’s always something about these dishes that  makes food look good and bring art to the table!

I’m obsessed with craftsmanship and I adore the sculptures of Marie Christophe!

For days without flowers

Marie Christophe’s latest chandelier (inspiration is a blooming flower)  rendered in my favorite color  palette of blue, green/yellow crystals sourced from Murano will be the shining star of my client’s new home!!!

Marie’s husband, Emmanuel congratulated her on the completion of this beauty and it’s not so often that he does!!   I know Emmanuel for 24 years so trust me that says alot 🙂 !!

She’s a beauty!!!

Jean-Louis Deniot, a devoted fan of Marie Christophe’s creations

“Always a symbiosis with her subjects, the art of Marie Christophe is a line drawn in the infinite, a journey of elegance without limit.

Lines like a lyrical representation, as a drawing with volume, the art of creating solid elements with voids!

I love to fill my projects with her spirit-filled works. Poetical sketches like metal pupae, that once filled with light act like a kaleidoscope of enchanting drop shadows”.   Jean-Louis Deniot

The right pairings

The table is the first thing you see when you enter a dining space. It sets the mood for good food.

Whether it’s in the kitchen, set beautifully in the dining room, or in the backyard for a summer soiree, it is where we come to share life, family, friends and above all food, wine, laughter and love!

Life in color!  Lanterne LOVE at Hermes!

Shimmering Swans

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! That’s all I can say about the custom blue-and-gold crystal swan chandelier and matching  crystal wall sconces Marie Christophe has created for designer Jean-Louis Deniot.

And they will be  getting the royal treatment: It will be hanging in the home of a real-life princess who is a client of Jean-Louis Deniot.

SWOON WORTHY SPACE!!!!

The table, whether it’s in the kitchen, set beautifully in the dining room, or in the backyard for a summer soiree, is where we come to share life.

Marie Christophe’s custom wooden bead and crystal branch bridge chandelier for Amanda Ross is the shining star of this space.  It will spark the dinner conversation and add sparkle to your table too!
2500 ceramics,  months and months and months to create.

Meet Marie’s latest creation for Jean-Louis!!!

SOOOOOOO MAGNIFICENT!!!

The peacock strutted for Chanel; the giraffe loped for Issey Miyake; the swan swanned for Jean-Paul Gaultier; the hare hopped for Yohji Yamamoto; the ostrich sashayed for Christian Lacroix; and the rooster crowed only for Comme des Garcon. Magnifique!

Marie Christophe’s wirework mannequins have always been an inspiration to me.

My Style

What can I say about my style?  I can tell you that it’s chic/rustic French and artistic/naturalistic and whimsical, wild, wonderful and wondrous – I make or hand-select every single piece to create the right look.

Sharing my love of all things artisanal, and all the collections I have been representing and showcasing from Europe  since 1997 is my passion.

It is here,  in my newly built greenhouse located at my lavender flower farm, where I share my signature style infusing the beauty of flowers with the world’s most  beautiful, poetic, whimsical, handmade objects, sculptures, textiles and lighting from  the artisans I have represented from Europe for more than 24 years.

So much of a flower’s beauty comes from its texture and that can only be experienced three dimensionally.

Once my florals are dried, I arrange them on my mannequins, hanging wire orbs and put them in vases to create everlasting arrangements and display them everywhere in my newly built greenhouse, shop, flower shed and home.

Lavender wands, wonky dishes, vases of dried florals
