I’m all for change and one of my favorite things is rearranging all my favorite things. Some people call it editing. I like to think of it as clearing my mind. With summer coming, I wanted some really cool colors in my living room, so I’m adding a couple of pillows by Adam & Viktoria –LOVING these patterns and colors right now -and the best part is of course that it makes me feel as though I am staying in a five -star hotel in Tahiti!

Marie Christophe Lights Up Vogue

Bruno Frisoni, the artistic director of Roger Vivier, has a really hot house in Tangier, Morocco, and he asked Marie Christopher to jazz it up with some of her signature lighting fixtures. She created two chandeliers — one studded with ebony ceramics, the other with ivory — that play off of each other like piano keys. Chandeliers didn’t make the feature, but had to include them anyway.

She also added gripping hand-shaped wall sconces whose red orange discs look like they’re on fire!

Flying Your True Colors

Bonita Ahuja’s pillow collection called Festival remains my favorite, and makes me think of kites flying high in the summer sky. The 19-inch-square pillows are made of wild silk and entirely hand embroidered. Colors are beautiful!

Their triangle motifs are designed to be paired with three colorways – jester, gypsy and patriot.

Adore Ryan McGinness- so naturally, I was thrilled to represent his untitled limited edition rug collection. I know I have wonderful taste, and this was reaffirmed when I found out that Phoebe Philo, formerly of Chloe, purchased this Ryan McGinness rug for her flat. I’m not surprised that she fell in love with its graphic, figurative and stylized imagery because it’s loaded with “Where’s Waldo?” whimsy.

I just have to say this: Phoebe, I saw it first!

Queen of Scents

Marie Chistophe’s colossal chandelier, created for Guerlain’s new boutique Cour des Senteurs (Court of Scents) in Versailles, is a confection in gold and clear crystal.

At 7′ feet high, it’s hard to miss even though it’s on the ceiling.

The column is called “STUFF WE LIKE,” so it came as no surprise when Adam & Viktoria’s new Peonia in sapphire was featured in that space in 5280 Home, a Denver home magazine. But if it were up to me, It’d call it “STUFF WE LOVE.”

The Talk of the Table

I’m throwing together a small dinner party and wanted to create a centerpiece that will be a true conversation piece. My mind was on flowers in a vase, but that’s an idea that’s been done to death. Then I remembered the gilded wire birdcages that Marie Christophe crafted to highlight the high heels of Roger Vivier. They were featured in Harper’s Bazaar spread in 2006.

Leave it to Marie to create a witty centerpiece that’s literally the center of attention.

If one Adam & Viktoria pillow is nice, five all lined up in a row are a sight to behold. The mixing of patterns and colors is amazing, don’t you think?

In case you want to be copycat, ( AND WHO WOULDN’T ) they are: two Meander Garden in pea green/ moroccan green, two Pomegranates in rust red and one Meander Garden in cornflower warm grey.
